Frequently Asked Questions

What do you specialize in?
I empower Autistic, ADHD, Twice-Exceptional (2e), and other Neurodivergent clients to embrace their unique wiring, develop practical life skills, and live their most authentic lives. Whether it’s finding work-life balance, improving focus, managing sensory overload, boosting self-esteem, or pursuing a fulfilling career, I am here to listen and provide judgement-free support.

Do you take insurance?
This ultimately depends on if you live in Michigan and what type of assistance you are looking for. If the focus is therapy and mental health then, yes. Just fyi, insurance does require me to conduct a formal intake session, list a diagnosis, and create a treatment plan.
If your focus is career counseling, I am able to bill your health insurance ONLY if our sessions shift beyond career planning to focus more on achieving better mental and emotional well-being and improving your quality of life.

Currently, I am in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Blue Care Network, United Healthcare, and Aetna. I do not take Medicaid or Medicare.

Can you see clients from another state?
As a Certified Career Counselor, I am able to work with clients that are not located in Michigan if the purpose is related to career development.

What do you charge?
For private pay clients, I have a rate of $150 per each 55 minute session, regardless of the session focus. If you cannot afford the full fee, Open Path Collective is a resource that connects private pay clients with counselors that offer a sliding scale. I offer a limited amount of openings for Open Path clients and update the profile if I am full.

How many sessions will I need?
To be honest, that really depends on you and the work we are doing! I have some career clients that only need me for 2-3 sessions, but I also have therapy clients that see me on weekly or bi-weekly basis. During the intake session, I will be able to better assess your needs and we will collaborate together to discuss how often we need to meet.

What is your experience and background?
With a background in education, from K-12 to community college and university settings, as well as the service industry, I bring a diverse range of experiences to my practice. I am constantly expanding my knowledge of therapeutic interventions and theories, always seeking out new resources and training. Whether you need career guidance or help managing anxiety, coping with depression, balancing the demands of family and work or school, adjusting to life after college, or navigating executive functioning challenges, I am here to provide you with the compassionate support and understanding that you deserve.
